About

OUR MISSION

Increase your speed, power, and athletic abilities.

We develop young athletes’ speed, strength, and power by building confidence, perfecting foundational strength, and making increasingly challenging training fun. We focus on building robust, young athletes who can not only perform to their full potential, but also fully grasp a deep understanding of the training that gets them there.

Our primary training platform is the Speed Mechanics Accelerator Program–a strategically tiered training program for athletes aged 10-18.

OUR COACHING PHILOSOPHY

Positivity, Pace, and Process.

We take young athletes to the next level and help them to avoid common pitfalls associated with increased training loads like burnout or unnecessary injury.

Our emphasis is on education and building strong foundations while working at the right pace for each athlete’s ability. We believe that to learn best it’s not simply about showing up but becoming a part of the process. We promote a positive and engaging learning environment, and require athletes to teach and guide younger/newer athletes in order to level-up—in addition to demonstrating improved competency and performance.

Our coaches have performed and coached at the highest levels and have worked with Olympic, international, and national level athletes. As a result, we can develop the speed and strength required to compete at the highest levels, without compromising on long-term health or goals.

OUR FACILITY

Positivity, Pace, and Process.

The Speed Mechanics Training Facility lies on the traditional lands of the W’Sanec (Saanich) and Lekwungen (Songhees) First Nations. This state-of-the-art facility welcomes every kind of athlete, and offers equipment, space, and elite training to help them reach their goals.

  • BSFL-EXW, BCAK, CSCS Candidate
ATHLETE CV
  • Since Allie can remember, sports and staying active have been an integral part of her life. At the age of 4, she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and had to balance between managing the disease while also trying to perform at a high level. She swam competitively with Island Swimming for close to 10 years, and after leaving swimming, she turned her passion for fitness to rowing, hiking/backpacking, climbing, cycling, and weightlifting.

This balancing act has led her to pursue an education in kinesiology and ultimately physiotherapy. Allie aspires to become a part of a support system for athletes to perform their best, regardless of ability. Allie recognizes the world of strength & conditioning is ever-evolving, and she is super excited and honoured to be involved.
